Job Description Summary

This is a key role in the Operations Team, the Global Material Project manager will be responsible for the driving All Modules for the Channels and Asset Management Modules Execution in JPort and Quarter Commits solutioning. Working with shops, Asset Management, and the Parts Team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Global Master Scheduler Leader, JPort Master Scheduler & AM team to define Asset Management and Customer modules, as well as Rotable quarter build plans for two quarters rolling.
  • Act as the interface for AM to ensure requirements are known and communicated to JPort Master Planner
  • Act as the interface for the Channels to ensure requirements are known and communicated to the Master Planner
  • Drive Asset Management Modules production rhythm in JPort to update Global Master Scheduler Leader on progress vs. Quarter build plan
  • Own execution of ALL modules needed for each quarter in both shops
  • Work with JPort production teams to identify solutions to allow execution of ALL modules in JPort plan.
  • Consolidate new material escalations to Aviation & define Component Repairs priorities for All AM Module at JPort
  • Work closely with the Global Vendor Execution Leader to provide Modules Component Repair priorities. Driving vendors commits back to JPort and Avenza Gate 2 teams.
  • Work with JPort production teams to identify solutions to allow execution of ALL AM modules in the plan.
  • Own Quarter Risk Assessment Solutioning by driving weekly follow up with Shops production teams to solution shop events with “Worse” risk assessment.
  • Develop and maintain critical KPIs around AM modules at JPort.
  • Work with JPort lean team to on Gate 1 & Gate 3 lean initiatives to improve AM Modules TAT

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED plus 7+ years materials management, production scheduling and shop operations experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Process, results, and detail oriented
  • Strong Oracle ERP user background & Advance Excel user
  • Strong Aeroderivative Gas Turbine knowledge
  • Ability to at least work 75% in JPort office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Aviation or Power experience in engine operations
  • Inclusive leadership style, ability to influence others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written, verbal).
  • Six Sigma Certification (GB, BB)
