GIS PROFESSIONAL

Galt Group Inc, (www.galtgroup.net) is a Engineering, Scientific and Project Management services firm located in West Palm Beach, FL. We are supporting a multi-year contract to the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), which is a regional governmental agency headquartered in West Palm Beach Florida. We are currently recruiting for a GIS Professional to support our ongoing and future projects with the SFWMD in West Palm Beach, FL.

Duties to include:

• Gather requirements for accessing resiliency GIS data (public, organizational, resiliency partner, etc.) Result to be used to determine which hosted environment to publish and maintain resiliency GIS data.

• Convert resiliency GIS to a service-based architecture using SFWMD ArcGIS Enterprise portal and hosted data store services.

• Develop and document organizational storage structure for ArcGIS Pro projects

• Inventory data sources.

• Add metadata for source and end product data if it does not already exist.

• Developed hosted data store organizational structure and publish data sources not already within the enterprise data store and end products to the hosted data store.

• Develop a hosted data store backup strategy

• Create ArcGIS Pro projects from AGE portal and hosted data store services and train resiliency staff on how to use these projects and search for portal services.

• Compile and document files for the resiliency plan ranking effort

• Remote Sensing Support

• Inventory Satellite or other imagery sources available for use in evaluating flood inundation.

• Inventory specific sources available for the event windows associated with Natural disaster events.

• Develop analysis workflow for processing imagery to identify flood inundation extents utilizing flood observation data to guide identification and provide additional observation documentation.

• Generate flood event summary report for Ts Alex, Hx Ian, and Hx Nicole including remote sensing analyses results and flood observation summaries.

• Identify data deficiencies / limitations and make recommendations for data acquisition improvement

• Resiliency Flood Metric Tile

• Create an interactive tool to present available historic information related to flooding within SFWMD.

• Create interactive dashboard to support exploration of available flood information by selected geometric unit.

• Using the unique flood area id, provide a means to summarize flood statistics resulting from remote sensing analyses.

• General Support

• Review and validation of wet season flood observations including King Tide season

• Support exposure database improvement, as needed (and if needed)

• Support to the C&SF Section 216 Flood Resiliency Study, as needed (alternatives formulation support, maps in general, etc.)

Pay & Benefits

• $90,000 annually pay
