Description:Supports the Program Manager and JC3-HTD branch with Geospatial Engineer support, updating and maintaining geospatial data for a 3D visualization service. The candidate should be familiar in processing, orthorectifying, and mosaicking overhead aerial imagery using Esri and Skyline Software suite of tools. In addition to raster support, primary duties will also include manipulating and symbolizing vector layers that will be viewed in TerraExplorer Pro. The candidate should be familiar with the range of intelligence databases and should be proficient in identification and retrieval of geospatial data.
Beyond the primary duties listed above, secondary duties will include creating 3D models in Trimble SketchUp. This task will require the candidate to be proficient in the use of SocetGXP to analyze overhead aerial imagery to determine measurements of target structures and identify building features to be modeled.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) technologies and data formats.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of methods and tools used in the ortho-rectification of overhead aerial imagery.
  • Knowledge and experience in re-projecting, merging, feathering, and layering of multiple imagery sources in varied ground sample distance (GSD) resolutions.
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with the following software: TerraExplorer Pro, TerraBuilder, Skyline Globe Server, ArcGIS Pro, Trimble SketchUp, SocetGXP.

  • Ability to plan and present briefings to various national leaders and dignitaries of sensitive national plans, policies, doctrine and how they relate to joint missions.

  • Ability to be deployed to perform current and other duties as assigned.

  • Basic knowledge of special operations doctrine, tactics and procedures to develop, coordinate and implement plans, policy and guidance.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
