POSITION SUMMARY:

The General Maintenance B performs maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work completed in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.
• Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel, and follows safety protocol.
• Implements preventative maintenance measures.
• Performs other maintenance work orders as requested.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Years of experience: Minimum 1yr in an industrial maintenance setting preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, lawn mowers and small hand tools
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Able to work well with minimal supervision
• Able to drive or learn to drive a forklift, tractor, etc.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
• Ability to be certified on forklifts/trucks.
