Looking for general laborers for a busy Tier 1 manufacturing facility in Sterling Heights MI. Manufacturing bumpers For GM & Chrysler .

Job Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours per day. Bend, stretch, lift up to 35 pounds. Prior manufacturing experience a plus.

Description:

Packaging-

You will be building boxes up and putting products into boxes. You will be working with labels as well. Then you will be securing boxes to pallets using shrink wrap.

1. Service production (must pack to tact time)

2. Packaging parts of all sizes, shapes and weight

3. Lifting (25+ lbs.), bending, standing, twisting, and reaching: varies based on product

Unloader/Loader-

You will be taking the bumpers off of the assembly line and placing them on the racks and/or station. The bumpers weight 25-30lbs.

1. Plate production (must keep up with the line as it is moving)

2. Managing wing nuts (on/off)

3. Lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching: 80%-90% of the day lifting

Painting/cleaning-

You will be painting the trim on the bumpers and wiping them clean.

1. Robotic production (must keep up with the line as it is moving)

2. Wiping paint from face of bumper

3. Lifting (30+ lbs.), bending, standing, twisting, and reaching: 65% - 75% of the day lifting

Compensation and Benefits for the Assembly Line Associate:

Shifts:

1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm (OT required some days)

2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm (OT required some days)

Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays, depending on production needs.

Compensation:

1st Shift: $15.50/HR

2nd Shift: $15.50/HR + $.75/HR Shift Premium = $16.25/HR

Requirements of the Assembly Line Associate:

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to bend and lift to 25 lbs.

• Must be able stand for 10-12 hours.

• Listen to directions from supervisors.
• Ability to use tools.

• Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).
• Report errors on production line.

• Must be a team player and willing to work with those in their assigned lines or groups.

Referral Bonus for the Assembly Line Associate:

First 3 referrals are $1,000.00

4th referral is $1,500.00

5th Referral is $2,000.00

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.25 per hour
