ABOUT THE COMPANY: Doherty Nutrition quickly growing private practice that provides nutrition counseling and consulting services across the state of Texas. We have five office locations in DFW and are opening new locations in the Austin, Houston, and San Antonio areas!

We provide nutrition services that range from individual counseling, group classes, public speaking engagements, and consulting projects. We are on a mission to take the stereotype of “diet” out of dietitian and make working with a dietitian simple, fun, and realistic.

ABOUT THIS POSITION: The Registered Dietitian - General Wellness will provide outpatient nutrition counseling services in a private practice setting to individuals general wellness goals as it relates to food. This position will be responsible or providing clinical dietetic care to clients. The position will be responsible for creating a curriculum for group classes at the practice and will work in conjunction with our 16 other full time RDs and the additional RDs we will be hiring for this office location. Outpatient counseling services will be conducted onsite at Doherty Nutrition private offices in our Southlake, TX location as well as via telehealth.

This is a full time role with a requirement to be onsite at Doherty Nutrition offices 3 days per week with 2 days work from home.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

• Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of nutrition and counseling practices in outpatient settings
• Complete individual personalized nutritional assessments and coordinate on-going nutritional care
• Provide nutritional counseling education for clients and/or their families both onsite at Doherty Nutrition offices as well as virtually
• Participate in care coordination and treatment planning
• Assist in meal planning and preparation for client meetings
• Lead and facilitate group nutrition classes on assigned topics
• Communicate compassionately, effectively and enthusiastically with clients and/or families
• Develops and maintain nutrition education materials and clinical procedures up to date with current research and practice
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills with a working knowledge of various software programs and electronic medical record charting

ABSOLUTE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must live or be willing to relocated to the Southlake, TX area
• At least 1 years professional experience as a full time Registered Dietitian
• Must be Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Understanding and a firm believer of Motivational Interviewing, Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size, and Weight-Inclusive Care
• Bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bi-lingual Spanish Speakers a huge plus!
• Licensed with the state of Texas as a Dietitian (out of state / relo candidates OK!)
• Master’s degree in food and nutrition preferred
• At least 1 year of professional experience in an outpatient setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
