Full time doorman position for Upper East Side 24 hour doorman building. Responsibilities include helping tenants with packages, announcing visitors, accurate record keeping, light cleaning. Must be responsible and reliable. Must be available to work 3PM-11PM and 11PM-7AM depending on day and shift covering. Email resume.

DOORMAN DUTIES TO BE CARRIED OUT

Please take note of these duties that must be performed on a daily to weekly basis:

**Saturday and Sunday doorman on 7-3 shift is to empty the garbage room and compactor room. Make sure to separate recycling and regular garbage**

• All brass in lobby around front door and glass exit doors are to be polished with a rag and brasso cleaner every (3) days to a brilliant shine. Include the door saddles of both doors. The brass emergency fire dept. water hookup located outside to the left of the lobby door is to be polished every 3 days as well. All cleaning products can be found in doorman room or ask the superintendent for it. It should not take more than 30 minutes to do brass.

Monday, Tuesday and Fridays 7-3 Shift doorman to clean

Wednesday and Thursday 3-11 Shift doorman to clean

• All mirror and glass in lobby is to be cleaned at least once during your shift.
• All visitors are to be announced. If there is no tenant response, person does not enter the building. If the person is buzzed up to the apt., you must have them sign in the book located on the table against the wall with the mirror. All delivery and visitors are to be logged in this book with the time, visitor’s name, and where they are going. If there are building supply deliveries (i.e. PC Richards, Mensch Supply etc.), you must contact superintendent before accepting delivery. Any repairman to the building, you must also contact Jose before allowing them into building.
• Water the two planters outside the front entrance door every day for a good soaking. This is to be done by the 7-3 shift doorman. Water it in the morning before it gets too hot. Pick any weeds out of the planters as well. Prune any dead leaves and keep the plants looking fresh and healthy.
• The lobby floor is to be swept and mopped daily to perfection. This is to be done at the start of every doorman’s shift. This means the entire lobby including the mail room and the hallway leading to the elevators. Each elevator cab floor is to be swept and mopped at least once a day if not twice as needed. Lobby carpeting is to be vacuumed at least once during shift. (If the carpeting is out) Broom, mop and all necessary supplies are also in doorman room.
• The entire outside sidewalk is to be swept and kept free of any debris on a daily basis. Repeat this task several times a day as needed.
• All furniture and table tops are to be cleaned and wiped down including the leather couch daily. All mirrors and light fixtures in the lobby are to be cleaned and dust free to perfection every day. All wood chairs and furniture are to be polished and cleaned daily. Each doorman is to do this once during their shift.
• All tenant dry-cleaning and deliveries are to be stored in the back doorman room for pickup when they come in. Do not leave your post to deliver these items. Tenant must come to lobby to retrieve their deliveries.
• Full cooperation with all appointments to show apts are a priority and between the superintendent and yourself. This is imperative when a prospective tenant is coming to the building for the first time to view an apt. We can only make one first impression-make it a good one.
• Tenants are entitled to leave the rent with you. In the mail room with all mail boxes, the building’s lock box is located on the bottom right. The doorman has a key for the box.
