JOB TITLE: Front Office Staff (Reception/Check - Out)

TexanCare Family Medicine Clinic is an evidence-based healthcare clinic that specializes in serving that San Marcos area and surrounding communities. TexanCare provides preventative care, geriatrics, women’s health, wound care and all around family medicine.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The ideal Front office Staff will have prior related experience, have a record of excellent punctuality and attendance. If you enjoy helping others and getting to know patients and being a part of a team, this is the place for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• The position will be primarily Front office ( Reception/Check-Out).
• Answering Multi-Line phones
• Checking in and out patients
• Scheduling appointments
• Verify Insurance
• Collecting Copays/ Deductiables at the time of service
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and insurance referrals to specialists
• Medical Records
• Complete task in task box sent by provider
• Cross train ( Medical Assistant)

EDUCATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

All skills below are required and must be demonstrated before hiring:

• Insurance verfication
• Collections
• Computer knowledge with Athena EMR
• Must have AthenaHealth experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• 1-2 years’ experience, preferred
• Biligual perferred but not required

JOB TYPE & PAY

• Full-time position ( Possiable PT Position)
• Pay range of $13-$16/hour, depends on experience and certifications
