Job Summary:
The Front Office Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the front office at The Goddard School. This includes managing the reception area, greeting parents and visitors, managing student records, and ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the reception area, including answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and directing them to the appropriate staff member or classroom.
- Manage student records and ensure that they are kept up-to-date and organized.
- Assist parents with enrollment and registration processes, including completing paperwork and answering questions about the school's programs and policies.
- Manage the school's calendar, including scheduling events, appointments, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Supervise and train office staff, including receptionists and administrative assistants.
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Ensure that the office complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Handle any customer service issues that arise in a professional and timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the school's administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a preschool or education setting.
- Prior Childcare Experience a MUST
- Open to changing Diapers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with managing staff and providing training and guidance.
Physical Demands:
This job may require standing, walking, sitting, and using a computer for extended periods of time. The employee may also be required to lift and move items up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
This job may require working in a busy and noisy environment, and may require working outside of normal business hours to accommodate school events and meetings.
