Summary of Guest Service Agent: The Guest Service Agent is responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out, answers and processes all phone calls received, handles all special requests for services or information in accordance with standard policies and procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be flexible and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests and employees
- Maintain high standards of professional appearance through proper grooming and wearing the brand standard uniform and name tag.
- Greet and Welcome all guests approaching the Hotel front desk
- Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard
- Handle requests for information, mail, and messages in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Politely answer all guest inquiries about the hotel and local transportation, restaurants, and transportation.
- Establish and maintain good communication and team work with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel.
- Be aware of all Hotel rates, packages, special promotions, and closed out restricted dates.
- Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow quoting scenario.
- Have knowledge and assist in emergency procedures as required.
- Process Check-ins and Check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner
- Fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
- Ensure loggings and delivery of packages, mail, and messages as needed to guest and meeting room.
- Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Perform any other duties as requested by Management
