Job description
We are working with an Oilfield client that is growing like crazy and adding a Drilling Fluids Plant Operator to their team.
Pay Rate: $20/hour depending on experience
Job Location: Onsite – Monahans, TX 79756
Rotations Detail: 15 days on, 6 days off
Work Hours: 7:00 am-7:00 pm or 7:00 pm- 7:00 am
Additional Information: Standard Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required. BPOs will be driving forklifts and loading trucks. Working hours are 12 hours per day, either 7 am-7 pm or 7 pm- 7 am, once the facility goes to a full 24-hour work day. There will be a Senior BPO on both shifts so these candidates will not be on their own, they will have an experienced BPO to learn from.
Job Summary:
The Bulk Plant Operators move and load materials used in conjunction with Company services while maintaining excellent quality control and by Company policy and procedures. Complies with all governmental regulations, and industry standards and observes all health, safety, and environmental policies. The Fluid Plant Operator provides service delivery with flawless service quality and no Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) incidents by policies, standards, and procedures. The position reports to the Bulk Plant Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follows Company quality assurance procedures to insure proper loading.
- Selects Company service equipment as needed to load a job.
- Maintains materials inventories and orders materials as needed to maintain inventory levels as designated by the supervisor.
- Completes all required paperwork according to Company, government, and DOT policies and procedures.
- Selects proper equipment for transporting material, inspects for road readiness and contamination, and loads materials according to safety and environmental policy.
- Completes technical modules required to maintain operating efficiency and qualifications for promotion.
- Participates in implementing and supporting Company health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Ensure all additives are properly labeled and stored safely and that all empty drums and pails are disposed of properly.
- Perform a daily check of the plant’s equipment and maintain all equipment while ensuring plant cleanliness.
Quality & HSE Authority and Responsibility:
- May stop any job or process due to Quality & HSE concerns as they see fit.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED), related experience preferred.
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Basic PC literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite are desirable.
- Must be physically able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. above and below shoulder height, and perform continuous standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
- Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written and oral instructions, write legibly, prepare and maintain routine records, estimate department needs, and determine the quality and quantity of materials received about prescribed specifications.
- Ability to perform accurate arithmetical calculations, work under pressure, maintain good working relationships with supervisors and peers, organize and prioritize work, and light machinery that may include a forklift.
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
