Snyder Engineering, Inc., is a multifaceted Steel Fabrication Company involved in the fabrication of structural steel components and specializing in miscellaneous steel structures of stairs and handrails.

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Fork Truck Driver. The job will consist of loading/unloading steel pieces from flatbed trailers, and helping with some welding, plasma table operations and maintenance in the fabrication shop when time allows. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Major Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Takeover company forklift duties
• We can train if the candidate has no experience
• Learn and run plasma table projects
• We can train if the candidate is willing to learn and is computer savvy
• Have welding experience or be willing to learn
• Prior experience not required but preferred
• Blueprint reading experience
• Help with light maintenance and mechanical fixes to fork trucks and fabrication machines
• Works closely with shop foreman, production manager and purchasing manager on schedules to unload incoming freight
• Authorities related to job functions and responsibilities:
• Recommend parts and equipment, as needed, to shop foreman and purchasing manager
• Keeps a good inventory of stored material, varied sizes and location
• Responsible for plasma table care and upkeep

Position Qualification Minimums:

• One to two years’ experience preferred but not required
• Some computer knowledge preferred
• Some welding experience preferred
• Be able to lift seventy pounds
• Have reliable transportation
• Dependable with a good attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be a team player
