Job description
  • Coordinate prepping, cooking, etc. of all food items on production schedule.
  • Serves meals to students and staff. Ensures that all meals and sales are properly accounted for.
  • Performs and delegates cleaning duties, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
  • Coordinate ordering and receiving of all food, beverage & paper product needed for daily service in unit.
  • Manage all daily cash sales; reconcile pos system, complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately.
  • Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, students and catering events.
  • Checks and stores incoming supplies.
  • Participates on safety committee.
  • Attends all mandatory in-service programs.
  • Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be proficient in recipe procedure, cooking techniques.
  • Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
  • Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
  • Always present a positive and professional image.
