Food Service Manager Description

Our client is looking for a Food Service Manager to add to their team in Hampden, ME. You will be responsible for developing and implementing Food Service programs, menus, merchandising, and marketing/sales plans. In addition to that, you will coach and train staff on new menu items, promotions, and initiatives. To be successful in this role, you must understand food sales and have experience managing food service programs in a restaurant; creating recipes and new menu items, and training food service staff. Ideal candidates will have experience managing food service programs, developing menus, managing vendors, and selecting new menu items. Food Service Manager Responsibilities

● Assist in the development, monitoring, and adjustment to Food Service strategy
● Work with Managers on Food Service execution
● Ensure consistent execution from store to store on programs, signage, and displays
● Help with directing food service organizational strategies
● Monitor costing and financials relative to the overall food service program
● Conduct image surveys, JHAs, safety inspections, and SERV Safe training
● Establish build-to-levels, proper inventory, ordering process, and waste management
● Train store teams on all aspects of food service and dispensed beverages
● Support and resolve food and/or customer service failures with applicable management
● Ensure compliance with all security, safety, and loss prevention procedures
● Conduct scheduled and unscheduled visits to all stores
● Communicate visit results with Operational, Territory Store Management teams

Food Service Manager Qualifications

● 2+ years of Food Service Program Management experience required
● 2+ years of supervisory experience required
● Familiarity with Food Safety Regulations required
● Proven track record of financial responsibility required
● Previous culinary experience required
● Must have a valid driver’s license required
● SERV Safe/Other CFPM certification preferred
