Sodexo Senior Living has an exciting opportunity for a Food Operations Manager 1, for McGregor, a continuing care retirement community located East Cleveland, Ohio, situated on a picturesque 45-acre estate, overlooking downtown Cleveland and a view of Lake Erie in the distance. This Food Operations Manager will oversee daily meal service and a small cafe. Will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 35-40 hourly employees. This is a very customer service, highly visible, hands on position. Typical shift 10:00am- 6:00pm, may vary with every other weekend.

Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?
We are looking for candidates who will:
- have oversight of daily meal service operations for resident dining;
- oversees special events;
- deliver high quality food service;
- develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
- create a positive environment; and
- ensure Sodexo Standards are met.
The ideal candidate:
- has excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents;
- has two or more years food service management experience;
- has knowlege of special dietary needs;
- has basic culinary background;
- has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
- can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
- is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

What We Offer:
Key Duties
- Establishes a safe work environment
- Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention
- Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes
- Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met
- Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan
- Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies.
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
