Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to improve training, coaching and engagement in FMEA, and to ensure FMEA outcomes are translated into design or process improvement.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the regional PD teams to instill a prevention mindset by driving the application of FMEA process within the region
  • Conduct FMEA training as needed within the region
  • Develop and coach FMEA Facilitators
  • Facilitate complex DFMEAs
  • Ensure FMEA Quality within the region
  • Facilitate DFMEA-PFMEA integration
  • Support FMEA process improvement efforts
  • Coordinate the Generic FMEA creation within the region
  • Lead change from Excel based to FMEA SW based execution
  • Ensure robust DFMEA interfaces with other business processes
The annual salary for this role is $88,00 - $139,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferred Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 5 or more years experience in developing and facilitating Design FMEA and Process FMEA
  • Proficient in FMEA approaches and methodologies
  • Experienced in facilitating DFMEAs, PFMEAs, SW FMEAs, and Functional Safety (MSR) FMEAs
  • Expertise in developing and facilitating complex FMEAs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to teach DFMEA and problem prevention methodologies to new product development teams and in some cases support complex problem resolution
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to extract and understand the big picture
    Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
    Strong interpersonal skills and proactive behaviors
    Ability to set clear objectives and deliverables
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, DFSS expert
  • Coaching experience
  • Knows how to implement DFMEA actions to improve designs and testing
  • Experience with using Excel, Power Point, Access, SysML, Minitab / Power BI
