Position Summary:
This position supports the daily ERP transactional activities of Quaker’s CMS business. In addition it will provide technical leadership to meet internal and external data reporting requirements.
Job Accountabilities:
- Support Fluidcare sites and Data Center with problem resolutions. This will include researching site transaction problems, correcting problem transactions and making inventory adjustments.
- Perform Fluidcare Data Center month end transactions and closing procedures.
- Assists in new site implementations, which can include, item and vendor research and startup support.
- Ability to backup Fluidcare Customer Support Specialist in the roles of OTC entry and master data setup.
- Work with Fluidcare Data Support Manager on improving ERP and reporting systems projects.
- This individual must also possess the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and have the ability to transfer knowledge to train others as needed.
Work Environment:
Work in an office environment. May occasionally work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. May occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud.
Ensure a safety mindset throughout designated area of responsibility.
Maintain the highest EHS standards while at customer’s site.
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or equivalent knowledge in business systems and chemical management.
Experience
Three or more years of experience with a minimum two years in technology project management and two years of information systems consulting/support experience.
Skills and Competencies
Intimate knowledge of Quaker Houghton’s business processes as well as a thorough understanding of the fully integrated accounting systems within JDE is a must.
Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines and demonstrate flexibility and creativity in dealing with dynamic situations. Experience in on-site services is preferred.
Good project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to lead and facilitate effective meetings.
Demonstrate basic mathematical skills. Precise and accurate in dealing with figures and details. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, fractions, conversions and proportions. Ability to analyze, evaluate and or produce data such as charts and graphs. Understand various business performance indicators such as P&L statements, Net Present Value, and ROI.
Must have an extensive working knowledge of: Internet software, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, project tracking, ERP software (order processing, warehousing) and database software. Data warehousing, data base design and ability to develop online analytical tools.
Organized and able to organize people and systems to obtain desired results. Flexibility to respond to unanticipated situations. Able to manage multiple demands and establish priorities. Able to deal with pressure situations. Should also be decisive, persuasive, and assertive, and able to see the big picture. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
