Teacher

Job Summary

Zion Baptist Academy fulfills its Christian based mission in a safe, traditional learning environment. ZBA operates an on-site day care, Georgia’s Pre-K Program, Before and After School Program, and/or
Summer Day Camp Program. The Teacher will help ZBA achieve its mission by following ZBA curriculum/policies and procedures, offering spiritual guidance, and maximizing educational opportunities for students through support and assistance to students, parents, and families of students.

Job Responsibilities

● A deep understanding of Christian education and an exceptional ability to articulate the mission and vision of the school to all constituencies.

● Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Demonstrates responsible attendance and use of leave.

● Exhibits professionalism in all job-related situations; follows professional ethics in all work related activities.

● Adheres to ZBA school procedures and regulations in a supportive manner, demonstrates loyalty to the school and its leadership; avoids behaviors which detract from staff morale; works cooperatively with colleagues and the community; promotes a positive school environment that enhances student learning; helps maintain a positive and cooperative climate.

● Communicates responsibly with all individuals and groups; assumes a fair share of outside the classroom school responsibilities; maintains plans according to policies and/or directives; promotes the responsible use of materials and equipment; submits accurate paperwork on schedule; prepares for responsibilities to be assumed when absent.

● Direct the conduct of students in accordance with policies at all times; takes all reasonable measures to protect students’ health and safety.

● Follows all ZBA, county, state, and federal policies, and procedures.

● Meets certification and accreditation standards.

● Seeks to improve through professional development and evaluation activities.

● Stays knowledgeable of research based teaching/ learning strategies and materials.

● Presents a personal appearance which enhances the image of the school.

● Maintains prompt and professional communication with parents.

● Plan and conduct daily activities for students

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education or CDA. One year of teaching experience.

Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.

Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learner.

Salary
Based upon experience.
