We are seeking a Fleet Manager to join the Metro One Team based in Staten Island, NY, to manager our growing fleet. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional (minimum 3-5 years’ experience) to join our fast-growing team. Critical to the role is an understanding of fleet management, exemplary organization and communication skills, and high attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire & divest vehicles, working with fleet management company and dealers
- Develop replacement plan to minimize costs
- Manage aftermarket installations, repairs & maintenance, relocations, accident reports and insurance claims, and ensure that regular maintenance is performed
- Manage camera monitoring systems
- Work with Sales, Operations, Billing and Receivables Departments to ensure accurate billing of cars, trucks & golf carts including temporary/seasonal rental vehicles
- Work with Operations to ensure compliance with company policies and provide support
- Book & track rental patrol vehicles and support service provider as necessary
- Maintain inventory of light bars and door magnets at key corporate and regional offices, in compliance with state regulations. Replenish and distribute as needed
- Acquire and maintain insurance policies and ensure fleet has current documentation
- Maintain vehicle registration for company owned/leased vehicles and ensure fleet has current plates & documentation
- Ensure fleet is in compliance with state inspections
- Track and maintain fleet fuel cards, ensuring compliance with company regulations and that expenses are allocated to the correct customer and cost center
- Maintain relationships with fleet management company, banks, dealers, installation shops, vendors and transporters
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of fleet management experience
- Minimum Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Access (a plus) and vendor software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be willing to participate in the company’s pre-employment screening process and continuously meet any applicable State, County, and Municipal requirements

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
