MV Transportation is seeking a Maintenance Manager to manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of a large fixed route commuter operation. The Maintenance Manager will ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved, and the duties of this position will include creation and review of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports. He/she must be able to properly manage a budget for maintenance program.

Talent Requirements:

• Should have a minimum of three (3) years of direct successful experience in a Maintenance Manager capacity managing a fleet of similar size and scope (over 50 fixed route buses).
• Should have a minimum of five (5) years of transit fleet maintenance experience overall. However, experience such as military motor pool experience, or other similar experiences will be considered for a candidate with a proven track record of success.
• Must have experience managing/directing ten or more employees. (fleet technicians, service workers/cleaners).
• Preferred experience of a minimum of five (5) years journeyman level experience with large and small revenue vehicle engines, transmissions and related component air, hydraulic, electrical and other systems, fire suppression and other safety systems, air conditioning systems, wheelchair lifts and ramps, destination signs and other electronics, and electronic farebox systems
• Must have experience and possess certifications as required for a Level “A” Mechanic position.
• ASE or manufacture’s certifications a plus.
• Must be able to manage and interface with client.
• Must have the ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
• Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.
• Must be able to manage the financial / accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
• Must have computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook.
• Must display initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.
• Formal education beyond high school is desirable and may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement.
• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
• Must adhere to the strict maintenance plan developed by MV and our client.

Starting Salary Range: $118,000 - $152,000
