    East Hartford Middle School/Central Office
    12 Month Position (35 hour work week)
    Salary: $21.27 - $28.32 per hour (Per Contract)

    TITLE: Fiscal Administrative Assistant II
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Associate Degree Preferred in Accounting

    2. Two years financial experience highly desirable

    3. Proven office experience highly desirable

    4. Such other qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate

    REPORTS TO: Director of Business Services and/or Certified Public Accountant

    JOB GOAL: Performs accounting and administrative work of a complex, confidential and responsible nature. Demonstrated ability to complete payroll, accounts receiving and SAA accounts transactions on the MUNIS financial system and ActiveNet.

    Must be familiar with proper accounting procedures and practices. Supports the operation of the MUNIS financial system. This position will usually exist in the Business Services Office.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Receives oral and written direction from supervisor.
    • Relieves supervisor and other business services staff of administrative details and takes appropriate action on routine matters.
    • Prioritizes plans and organizes work according to standard procedures as well as financial schedules and calendars.
    • Supports financial operations as assigned including payroll, accounts receivable and Student Activity Accounts.
    • Performs calculations, posting and verifying financial data for input into the MUNIS system and other Business Services software programs.
    • Maintains student activity accounts including monitoring of all bank accounts and insuring student activity policies are followed.
    • Posts payments and prepares monthly and annual financial reports.
    • Prepares financial reports to Business Services department as necessary and/or as requested.
    • Reports work accomplished to supervisor.
    • Operates automated systems at advanced skills level, including Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and MUNIS Financial and HR/Payroll System.
    • Possesses knowledge of accounting procedures/programs.
    • Possesses working knowledge of current Board policies, regulations and laws relevant to the position.
    • Assumes such other functions as may be determined.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Seven hours per day, twelve-month year.

    EVALUATION:

    Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Non-Certified Staff.
