Job Description

The Financial Manager / Plant Controller will be part of and manage a team responsible for all accounting functions (including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, managerial accounting reports, financial statement reporting, HR, and IT), managing all inventory functions and flows including purchasing, warehouse and logistics, driving operational profitability, and supporting all plant activity. The position will be actively involved in the plant operations and a member of the management team, reporting to the President.

Role and Responsibilities

· Manage and execute the day-to-day accounting functions including A/R, A/P and inventory. Ensure these functions are timely, accurate, and efficient.

· Optimize supply chain and inventory including purchasing, warehouse and logistics functions.

· Work closely with President to develop a cohesive, integrated team that is successful and has fun.

· Create financial management processes and manufacturing reporting tools and KPIs that are efficient, accurate, and drive operations and profitability

· Prepare financial reports including monthly financial statements, monthly reporting packages and dashboard reports as needed.

· Manage cash flow and work with banks and investors.

· Manage and analyze capital projects and make recommendations to improve manufacturing resources and meet growth needs.

· Oversee computer system, software, and network. Simple small office network.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

· Operational/manufacturing (especially in food production) experience

· Strong leadership and managerial experience

· BA or BS in Accounting or equivalent degree

· Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment and willing to wear many hats.

· Solution-based, action-oriented approach supported by relevant analyses.

· IT experience valuable

· HR experience a bonus

· High level of integrity, dependability and results-orientation.Pay dependent on skills and experience.
