We are hiring a Financial Analyst to support our Operations across North America. If you have 2+ years of experience, tracking and reporting on key Financial Metrics for your company, and have a passion for analyzing data and using it to help leaders solve problems - we would love to talk with you! We are looking for someone capable of building and analyzing Kiewit’s Corporate Finance Reporting with the ability to understand how to access data from multiple resources, use that data to build compelling visuals, and present those visuals in a persuasive way. This role is 50/50 operations finance & data analyst role so you would both report and own the data that you manage.
In this role, you will be exposed to all of Kiewit's business, including operations, finance, treasury, mergers & acquisitions, and accounting, as well as opportunities to interact with senior management and other key stakeholders. LOCATION
This position will be based in our Lone Tree Colorado office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze, track, monitor, forecast and report financial data
- Develop reports/dashboards depicting key financial performance data, facilitating meetings with stakeholders to explain data and help leaders make tactical and strategic decisions through those reports and dashboards
- Deliver best in class analytical solutions to the business, using your strong financial knowledge, business acumen and ability to learn and understand the business challenges, facing your facing your stakeholders.
- Perform Data Modeling/Data Restructuring - You will have access to many data sources to provide solutions to your stakeholders, but often this data may not be modeled or structured in an optimal manner to meet your needs. We will have resources to offer support, but ultimately you will be expected to be highly self-sufficient and have the technical skills (SQL) to restructure this data as needed.
- Build high quality, insightful solutions by creating Data Visualizations through Dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, Presentations & charts using MS Office Suite.
- Perform Data extraction and data Analysis – You will be expected to, with limited direction, leverage data to make strategic recommendations to the business.
- Communication and Presentation –You will be expected to guide requirement gathering conversations with stakeholders, explain the results of your analysis to team members, train stakeholders on how to use decision support tools, and succinctly convey how solutions meet specific business needs.
- Data Collection –You will work with stakeholders and key members of our product team to understand which data we capture today, as well as participate in the development/procurement of future solutions.
- Willingness to travel to our other Kiewit offices as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience (not theoretical) in data extraction/analysis/visualization - exhibiting the ability to leverage data to solve unique and challenging business problems. Experience performing data analytics in the financial arena is preferred, and interest in working in the Financial reporting space with data analytics is required
- Understanding of Finance is necessary (i.e., Revenue, Gross Margin, Budget v/s Actual, Return on Sales, Gross Profit)
- Experience performing Database querying using SQL for MS SQL Server. Experience with Teradata highly preferred
- Experience delivering data through means of Data Visualization (Tableau, Power BI preferred)
- Knowledge of data lineage and ETL
- Python skills preferred

- Able and willing to travel to our Omaha Nebraska Headquarters up to 20% of the time

Base Compensation: $80,000 - $118,000
