Overview:
We are seeking a Finance Manager with a high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-paced work environment to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, this position will facilitate program profitability and sustainability through the analysis of financial and business data.
We are looking for an individual who enjoys managing the details and day to day operations of PWH. This is an operational finance/business manager role which partners with the Executive Director to assist, support and advise on decisions to achieve on-going success.
The right candidate will have a broad base of knowledge outside of accounting, including management skills; decision-making skills that factor in financial, strategic and operational aspects; change management basics; as well, as solid professional communication, both written and verbal. - Oversees/assists with the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for assigned business unit(s); makes recommendations for increasing efficiencies; maintains knowledge of all practices for consistency.
- Oversees financial management; assists in the development of business plans and monitors performance by reviewing labor, aging, dashboards, operational data and other available reports; analyzes financial information identifying problem areas, efficiencies and new revenue streams.
- In partnership with Executive Director of Finance and Business Unit director(s) prepares and delivers to senior leaders an update of the business unit(s) at periodic Business Review meetings. Develops and delivers financial update including financial performance of current operations, effective utilization of assets, monitoring of leases and financial forecasts.
- Monitors assigned area or operating unit’s performance; reviews all available financial reports and investigates unusual expense for appropriateness.
- Assists in the identification, development, and interpretation of financial reports or tools that support capturing relevant information to enhance business operations.
- Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations for improved business processes and establishing new methods of increasing efficiencies of current infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related degree required. Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years experiences in data analytics and fiscal management.
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
- Demonstrates excellent math skills and an ability to calculate fractions, percentages and ratios.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel plus an aptitude for learning accounting or finance software.
- Demonstrates an ability to prioritize, exercise good judgment, make quick decisions and effectively solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work effectively individually or in a team environment.
- Remains calm under pressure and maintains self-composure during times of stress.
