LOCATION
This position may be performed remotely. We are targeting candidates in the Eastern United States. The role can expect to travel to franchisee stores and assigned markets at least 10% to 20% of the time in this role. This may include travel to Omaha, NE, where Scooters Coffee is headquartered.
DESCRIPTION
The Field Marketing Specialist will help with and support the communication, alignment, activation, and execution of Scooters Coffee local and brand marketing programs for new and existing franchise and company stores in a geographic area encompassing a range of 200 to 300 stores in a multi-state region. The scope of the role includes assisting with the planning and execution of individual grand openings, test marketing pilots, and helping the Field Marketing Manager with the implementation of local, DMA/Co-ops, regional or system wide marketing activities in the assigned region.
This role reports to the Field Marketing Manager. Key outcomes for this role are delivering annual and long-term brand KPIs of AUV growth, comparable sales, traffic and EBIDTA. The Field Marketing Specialist is a key support role, possesses a working knowledge of the marketing process, familiarity with digital, social, and traditional media, solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong project management, time management and organizational abilities to juggle multiple marketing projects and priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
New Store Openings
- Work with Field Marketing Managers and franchise owners on preparing their new store opening marketing plans
- Manage marketing timelines/tasks to ensure franchisees are actively involved in the new store opening process
- Work with templated designs in Ad Library, Promotion Bank, Apparel Store, Marketing Shop, etc. and other resources to localize grand opening marketing materials
- Prepare and order marketing materials, POP, and signage for all new stores with vendor partners, ensure receipt and installation of materials
- Add location listings on Google, Apple Maps, Meta and scooterscoffee.com, and Scooters Coffee mobile app platform
- Manage multiple grand opening projects with a variety of internal and external groups.
- Assist internal team in strategic plans for new locations as needed
- Help set up budgets and track invoices, reconcile ad fund budget for openings
Local Store Marketing
- Respond to franchisee requests in Scooters Coffee Resource Center
- Help implement and evaluate local test programs
- Work with FMM and franchisees on available tools and resources to help activate their business
- Assist in the analysis of local market information to identify and recommend new local store marketing opportunities
- Tracking of existing and emerging competitors in assigned markets
- Provide input on influence the strategies, tactics, products, and programs that the marketing team develops
Planning and Analysis
- Help track new store weekly sales, analyze data, and reports as needed on performance
- Help analyze and on occasion participate in site level local trade area audits for new and existing stores
- Contribute to the analysis of daily, weekly monthly and annual performance and KPIs for all marketing initiatives
- Assist with post analysis of campaign results for DMAs and region wide results
- Track and analyze competitive intrusion and blunting marketing efforts
- Assist in the execution and tracking of performance of digital and traditional (non-digital) media campaigns
- Contribute to monitoring retail pricing strategy, communication, and implementation across the organization
- Assist and participate as requested in DMA marketing co-ops, primarily with developing analysis, presentations, venue, agenda, minutes
- Help process, track and report on invoices and budget reconciliation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business
- At least 1-2 years of marketing/advertising experience
- Experience with the marketing mix (4 Ps); understands marketing principals and strategy
- Familiarity with digital, social, and traditional media for marketing purposes
- Strong project management, time management and organization skills
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Ability to manage deadlines and milestones across multiple simultaneous project
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and project management tools including Smartsheets and SharePoint
- Ability to travel a minimum of 10% to 20% of the time
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 75 pounds frequently throughout a day
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, climb, kneel and crouch occasionally throughout a day
- Ability to hear, see, and speak within a loud environment
- Must have the ability to work in varying temperature zones, from freezer temperatures to non-air-conditioned temperatures in the summer
