Family Support Specialist
Are you committed to helping keep families together by improving family life and functioning? As a pioneering, mission-driven provider focused on the highest quality care, we are looking for you to join our team to provide in-home intervention services to youth at risk and families.

• Provide coverage to a caseload of families and children.
• Providing home and community based therapeutic services, providing therapeutic approaches with behavioral and mental health diagnosis.
• Integrating intervention services and activities to assess how we can support and meet the client’s treatment goals.
• Assist families and children to establish weekly goals and help them to identify the steps that need to be taken to reach established goals.
• Make referrals to services and resources on behalf of the families and children.
• Attend weekly case reviews and attend all Individualized Service Plan (ISPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for families and children meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention services to prevent placement disruptions.
• Assess the home environment for safety issues in preparation for a child’s return and following a child’s reunification.
• Make recommendations regarding family’s readiness for reunification.
• Will be transporting clients into the community.

Compensation:

Tier 1 -Base Rate $17.00, Billable Rate $ 20.75 and Non-Billable Rate $ 15.00 per hour ( 1-3 years of experience)
Tier 2- Base Rate $ 19.23, Billable Rate $ 21.55 and Non- Billable Rate $15.00 per hour ( 3-5 years of experience)
Tier 3 -Base Rate $ 19.47, Billable Rate $ 21.90 and Non-Billable Rate $15.00 per hour ( 5 or more years of experience)

Tiers are determined by education and years of experience. Bilingual candidates are subject to a Tier Jump.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a human services field preferred.
• High School Diploma with minimum of two years experience working with youth and families - Bilingual Candidates only
• A compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
• Must have clean driving record and comfortable transporting clients.
• Bilingual- Fluent in Swahili and Spanish, etc.
