Family Consumer Science Middle Level - We are seeking a motivated and passionate middle level educator to teach Family Consumer Science classes to students in grade 6 - 8. The current assignment will focus on Career Exploration, Sewing, Financial Literacy & Child Development. We are in the process of reimagining our middle school course offerings, so the ideal candidate would be one who is able to work collaboratively with the current professional staff in the Family Consumer Science department to ensure we are providing a relevant and engaging Family Consumer Science program for middle school students. In addition, the ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the characteristics and learning needs of the young adolescent.
Please note that this is a contracted position for the 2023 to 2024 school year.
Education Level: Position Requires Bachelor's degree in Education and a valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate with endorsement in Family Consumer Science.
Compensation: Salary and benefits are set by the collective bargaining agreement for all contracted positions.
