Responsibilities:
  • Making sure all equipment for the facility is kept operable in the most cost effective way possible

  • Managing the maintenance of the facility and its grounds
  • Manage all associates associated with Decatur Kleen facility, involved in the hiring, firing, reprimanding and documenting any and all incidents.
  • Monitor costs and submit check request payments for all Invoices
  • Maintain accounts receivable for all outside customers and keep an aging report on outstanding terms for each customer.

  • Work with drivers and associates to maintain a healthy work environment

  • Work with Bunge and other customers to assure good customer service and be able to adjust the theirs as well as the industries ever changing procedures and needs

  • Prepare and file all necessary paperwork for : Audits, OSHA, Workman’s Comp, and HR

  • Initial training of new associates as well as annual retraining for associates and documentation of this training

  • Monthly safety meetings with all associates and records of such meetings

  • Maintain Kosher Certification for wash working with the local orthodox Society.
  • Compute, and distribute weekly incentives to associates as well as get them turned into VONWB for audit before going to HR.
  • Make sure Waste Water Operator keeps up to date tests and records of all water going through the treatment facility before discharging to the city and make sure what Decatur Kleen sends to the city is within current standards.
  • Work with operations in all 3 divisions to make sure the trailers on the yard are kept moving within 7 days, write up any issues and make sure they are corrected in a timely manner and keep in communication with Operations.

  • Manage a weekly schedule that covers all shifts while working with associates to make sure they are getting their time off for vacation or sick pay.

Qualifications:

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.


Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred.


Abilities

Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills required. Accurate typing up to 40 WPM. Multitasking and a flexible schedule required. Some weekend work could be necessary for this position.


Experience, Education, and Training

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a Business or related field is preferred; or three plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Requirements

This position requires being able to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time. Being able to multitask between the computer, phone, and different projects is required.


Working Environment

Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Call volume can be heavy at times.
