Job Title: Facility Maintenance Assistant
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00/hour
Location: Valencia, CA

Position Summary:
Nusano is hiring a Facility Maintenance Assistant to support the ongoing fabrication and assembly activities at our Valencia, CA facility. Reporting to the Facility Operations Manager and working closely with the Facilities
Administrative Specialist, the Facility Maintenance Assistant will help ensure that the facility is properly maintained, functional, and safe for its occupants by performing minor facility maintenance tasks along with managing shipping, receiving, and inventory duties. Additionally, the Facility Maintenance Assistant will ensure that the machine shop, assembly areas, warehouse and laboratories are kept clean and stocked daily.

Responsibilities:

• Minor facility maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Ensure that the facility is clean, organized, and safe for occupants.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties.
• Operate forklift to support shipping and receiving duties.
• Support with inventory control.
• Monitor and keep PPE stocked in the facility.
• Set up tables, chairs, etc. for onsite events.
• Ensure facility and warehouse floor is swept and trash is emptied daily.
• Run errands as needed such as picking up orders and supplies from vendors.
• Assist with mounting equipment, assembling office furniture, etc. as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with basic hand tools and safety requirements.
• Able to understand and follow written instructions.
• Able to use email and basic computer software.
• Must own vehicle and have a valid California driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or trade school certificate.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience working in facility maintenance, warehouse, or construction environment.
• Experience with hand tools, assembly, electrical, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, push and/or pull a maximum 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to perform highly dexterous work with hands.
• Work will be conducted in an office and the engineering lab.
• Reach up to 6′ with the use of a ladder when needed.
• Must work in a noise environment >85dB
