Tapestry Public Charter School seeks a motivated individual with strong a propensity for details and a willingness to provide excellent management and care for our school building. This person must also have some general understanding of a facility's needs regarding maintenance and repairs, and the ability to work with and effectively manage service vendors.

Tapestry serves approximately 300 students from 6th through 12th grade.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of our building, furnishing, electronic equipment, and grounds, including maintenance, repairs and cleaning. The person in this position must be able to work and communicate well with many different types of vendors/people that will provide maintenance and services to the school. This job requires someone who can work to accomplish goals without supervision.

Essential Functions:

• Support the mission of Tapestry Public Charter
• Responsible for all aspects of managing the building, furnishings and grounds including maintenance, repairs and cleaning
• Ensure the facility is clean and maintained on a daily basis
• Responsible for understanding the facility budget and working within it
• Schedule, manage, and keep up-to-date all building inspections and licenses
• Schedule and manage all Summer maintenance work
• Keep accurate files for building maintenance, facility contracts/agreements, and building safety/inspections
• Responsible for building supply procurement
• Parking management when needed
• Manage building safety and security systems, and work with the Admin Team to ensure emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
• Issue and track keys, key cards and other building access
• Responsible for the inventory tracking of all electronics and other high dollar and Grant purchased items in the building.
• Chromebook distribution, collection, basic troubleshooting and warranty repair management
• Daily loaner Chromebook management
• Basic Printer/Copier troubleshooting, and supply ordering
• Work with IT vendors for repairs and maintenance regarding IT electronic equipment, systems and laptops.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required

Experience with maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must be proactive and able to troubleshoot facility issues
• Must be able to work effectively with staff, vendors and repair persons
• Proficiency in Google and Microsoft, especially databases.
• Ability to learn and work within different software systems and applications.
• Ability to correspond with vendors and repair persons both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting goals and requirements
• Must be detailed and task oriented
• Excellent organizational skills

Physical Demands:

physical activity associated with maintenance and repair work. Bending, stooping, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, etc.

May have to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay: $29,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
