Primary Functions:

Responsible for the daily function, maintenance, upkeep and security of all Brandt-owned and leased facilities in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Establish & maintain excellent business relationships with Brandt’s division unit leaders, property managers and outsourced service providers in order to create a safe working environment.

In partnership with the Facilities Manager and Director of Corporate Services implement and carry-out the strategic vision for the business as it relates to facilities management.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Facilities:

  • Responsible for performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed (such as touch up paint, change light bulbs, picking up trash etc.).
  • Coordinate Brandt’s facilities maintenance program. Main point-of-contact for all facilities issues, including:
  • MEP repair and maintenance (routed through Brandt Service dispatch)
  • Janitorial
  • Pest control
  • Requisition, stock and/or maintain facility supplies, furniture, appliances, equipment, etc., as needed and approved.
  • Coordinate and participate in all facility, janitorial, and security inspections.
  • Issue name plates for all office new hires.
  • Prepare office and cubicle spaces for new hires.
  • Prep/set-up/tear-down conference and training rooms, as needed.
  • Assist Brandt’s Safety Department with facility safety drills and related processes (i.e., fire, storm, emergency). Monitor/inspect & coordinate replacement of fire extinguishers prior to expiration.
  • Monitor facilities for safety and environmental compliance. Coordinate any related work with the department manager, through to resolution.
  • Report all significant facilities matters to the Facilities Manager, as required.
  • Coordinate mail pick-up and delivery at each facility.
  • Coordinate all items with remote facility contacts to ensure they are handled appropriately at each Brandt location.

Security:

  • Confirm via remote access that all buildings are secure at the end of each day.
  • Ensure all buildings are secure at the end of each day.
  • Document and control the issuance of access badges. Maintain database of all related changes, modifications, additions and deletions.
  • Document and control the issuance of all facilities keys. Contact locksmith when necessary.
  • Process all new hire and termination access requests.
  • Monitor after-hours access requests and other related access issues.
  • Create and maintain a list of contacts for each Brandt facility in case of emergency.
  • Upon request, escort terminated employees from Brandt facilities and recover all Brandt-issued tools and equipment as directed by Human Resources.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree, with current Texas driver license and clear driving record
  • Working knowledge of facilities management, with 3-5 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as well as security and access software programs
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Computer literacy, with the ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar systems
  • Outstanding written & verbal communication and customer-service skills
  • Cost/value awareness, rapid responsiveness, honesty, and 24/7 accessibility
