JOB DESCRIPTION: A municipal defense law firm with office locations in Richardson and Wimberley Texas, seeks a highly motivated experienced litigation paralegal. Must be able to work independently and well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be is very comfortable with technology (including PACER, eFile Texas, Lexis, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro), very organized, and deadline-driven. This position includes interaction with the Courts, clients, vendors, opposing counsel, and their staff. Professional and clear oral and written communication skills are essential.

Need individual who is able to commit to a minimum of 20 hrs/week with the ability to work additional hours when deadlines and work load require more time. Paralegal coverage is required daily, but hours may fluctuate and can be flexible to contractor's needs as long as assigned work/deadlines are responsibly completed.

Work can be completed on-site/remote for Richardson location, or remote for Wimberley location with some in-person meetings that may require short travel if you are in Austin/San Antonio area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Document management, including organizing, reviewing, summarizing, bates numbering using Adobe Pro, maintaining a file room; maintaining the firm calendar so deadlines are not missed; E-Filing in all courts; schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, conference calls; drafting basic motions, proposed orders, deposition notices referring to established forms; order medical, employment, and tax records; answer incoming calls; arrange some travel.
