Southshore Companies has immediate openings for reliable, hard-working candidates for our team in Bridgeman. You must have demonstrated punctual and dependable attendance at your previous employer to be considered for this job.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, put-away, stack, pick, stage material using forklift
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Verify product labeling and complete paperwork accurately
- Properly record all movements of material inbound and outbound
- Working knowledge of material handling and stock methods
- Perform daily lift truck inspection
Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years prior experience operating a forklift
- Inventory control experience
- Warehouse or Distribution Center background preferred
Requirements:
- Ability to read and write and do simple arithmetic
- Willing and able to work overtime
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs, bend, twist, turn, kneel and squat
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screens
- Reliable transportation
- A desire to work
