Executive Finance Director
FLSA Status - Exempt

ACTS Career Center, Inc is a 501 C3 Non-profit career development and resource center established in 2001. ACTS is a Ministry of Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven, Mississippi. Since 2001 ACTS Career Center has been serving our community at no cost to the client or the employer. The Executive Finance Director will report to the ACTS Board of Directors and will oversee and manage finances, budgets and prepare quarterly financial reports.
Responsible for oversight of all ACTS program activities and operational expenses.
Manage and provide directives for a team of 4 part-time employees.
Research and prepare grants to help develop community programs, partnerships and opportunities.

Requires 5-day work week commitment with a minimum of 32 hours weekly

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage fiscal activities, including budgeting, grant funding AP, AR, and general accounting.
Tax Reporting, including reviews, audits, 990 tax filing and reporting to accounting firm
Responsible for payroll, Recruiting, training and onboarding new employees, record keeping.
Board reporting, statistics, scheduling and attending board meetings, finance reports and recording of minutes.
Grant research and proposal writing, grant reporting, funding allocations, and outcome.
Provide leadership of staff, customer service, scheduling staff, project, and program fulfillment.
Building relationships, collaborations, and partnerships with volunteers, community leaders, and HR Professionals.

Qualifications:
Passionate and service-oriented leadership experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, nonprofit management or related field.
Minimum of 1+ years of QuickBooks accounting experience.
Proven proficiency in finance and accounting.and tax reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to set goal, plan and work effectively with clients, volunteers, and staff.
Experience in grant writing, budget preparation, contract management, and compliance is a plus.

Salary commensurate with experience and education
