Executive Chef - Pawleys Plantation
Job description
- Ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure optimum resource management and speed of service.
- Deep clean all areas of F&B quarterly.
- Assist associates in understanding what substitute products are available to help sell similar menu items.
- Must have knowledge and experience in creating and maintaining a budget.
- Perform administrative tasks as required including review of kitchen staffs’ timesheet for payroll.
- Work with Food and Beverage Director to design new recipes and plan menus.
- Train staff on preparation and arrangement/plating menu items.
- Ensure all staff members adhere to culinary and safety standards and regulations.
- Design new menu choices based on seasonal ingredients and customer demand.
- Track, record, and replenish inventory as needed.
- Research new developments in local cuisine and apply knowledge to new menu items.
- Compliance with all DHEC and ServSafe regulations,
Safety Responsibilities and Requirements:
Actively demonstrate, encourage, and model safety rules and guidelines in accordance with the law.
Report safety or hazard concerns to management immediately.
Report any work-related injury to management immediately.
Take personal responsibility for safety every day.
Qualification-Requirements Experience - Education
5+ years in Banquets and Full-Service restaurants.
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Four-year degree in culinary school.
High level of creativity and reliability.
Flexible schedule required.
ServSafe Manager Certification.
