Position Summary:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and communication of the EHS function. This position will work closely with the EHS Director to develop the strategy and provide leadership through the management of FOX’s EHS programs, policies, and procedures to improve safety and sustainability performance. This position is also responsible for coordinating with other EHS Team members to meet or exceed company business objectives, working closely with cross-functional teams at FOX Factory facilities.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement applicable EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies on a continuous basis and revise as appropriate
  • Provide technical expertise on safety, health, fire and environmental conditions and requirements for manufacturing, operation and maintenance, construction, and licensing/ permit functions.
  • Partner with operations to ensure that corrective and/ or preventive measures are implemented to avoid issues and minimize risk by analyzing impacts and proposing achievable solutions to EH&S items
  • Lead the tracking and assessment of EHS requirements and metrics; advise plant management about company impacts
  • Select, coach, and develop designated EHS champions and supervisors, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate
  • Evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop appropriate preventive control programs and procedures.
  • Develop and administer company safety incentive programs, including the evaluation of the effectiveness of such programs in positively changing employee behavior
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain claims handling strategy, working with insurance carriers/brokers, affects employees, and vendors, and communicate results with stakeholders
  • Prepare all EH&S reports required by customers, company personnel, and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Provide input to the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and coordinate EH&S activities related to the plan.
  • Serve on the Safety Committee and lead efforts where appropriate.
  • Maintenance of all SDS documents and information and review in-coming chemicals to all facilities.
  • Develop Waste minimization and recycling strategies
  • Oversight of hazardous waste disposal program
  • Respond to employee inquiries on health-related issues in the workplace.
  • Coordinate risk assessment strategies and activities
  • Development of EMS/SMS programs leading toward site certification.
  • Provide oversight and guidance (Subject Matter Expert) for special risks such as Explosives handling and high-pressure gas systems.
  • Review and recommend cost reduction strategies for EH&S programs
  • Upkeep of the OSHA 300 log and other reporting requirements.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required:
  • Implementation or maintaining experience with ISO14001 and 45001 standards, preferred
  • Experience with permitting of major and minor sources and other environmental permits
  • Solid understanding of safety and waste management-related regulations and industry standards
  • Proficient in various risk assessment and root cause analysis methods
  • Demonstrated effective interaction and influence with regulatory agencies and senior business leaders
  • Strong ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines with detail orientated focus on results
  • Ability to present to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to travel 10% maximum

Position Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or EH&S, Science. Advanced degree, CHMM/CSP/CIH certifications desirable and/ or specialized training preferred.
Experience:
  • 5 years of experience in environmental, health and safety field including at least 3 years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Data analytics experience using EHS software programs preferred
