NOTE: This is a temporary position which could possibly move into a permanent FT position in the future.

- Competitive compensation packages with a hourly pay range of $22.00 to $25.00 based off experience

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, tobacco, cannabis, and toxicology testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.

- Preparation of Summa Canisters for GC,GC/MS analysis
- Analysis of samples by GC,GC/MS analysis
- Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
- Maintain, prepare, and track Summa Canisters for shipment and analysis
- Set and maintain flow controllers
- Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
- Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan
- Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
YOUR EXPERTISE & SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

- Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience (academic or professional) preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a high-paced testing laboratory environment
- An Analyst I will be able to perform much of their work independently, but needs direction from a Group Leader or more senior analyst to execute most effectively.
- Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
- Must be flexible in work schedule (including Saturday) and able to work overtime
- Well organized and have an attention to detail
- Good organization and communication skills
