Market Development Specialist – Cape Cod

POSITION SUMMARY

Our ideal candidate will have 1 year of building materials sales experience; however, this is not required. We will train someone that has up to 3 years of sales experience if you have a hunter mentality and an energetic personality.

Compensation for roles at Versatex varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $55,000 to $70,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.

The Market Development Specialist is responsible for generating awareness of, creating demand for, and generating sales of Versatex Exterior Trim and Moulding products among architects, target builders, remodelers, and contractors/installers in their geographic area of responsibility.

Versatex Building Products, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The AZEK Company is an industry-leading manufacturer of cellular PVC trim with headquarters in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.

TERRITORY: Cape Cod

Home base: Plymouth, New Bedford, Braintree, "Irish Riviera"

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Attain or exceed annual sales objectives as identified in the business plan given them by RSM. Must create consistent sales and brand awareness at builder/architect level.

· Conduct AIA presentations and architect calls with goal of having Versatex specified by the firm.

· Establish relationships with builders and contractors who consistently purchase Versatex products at the dealer level and drive new product sales.

· Ensure growth of new products within marketplace by introducing them to the builder/contractor and properly training them on installation.

· Follow up on all leads provided through Dodge Reports, website, trade shows etc. to see to it that sales are made as a result of the leads.

· Ensure dealer network is properly trained and merchandised on an annual basis.

· Be fully up to speed on proper installation guidelines and architectural specifications.

· Maintain budgets on an annual basis.

· Develop and maintain relationships with all downstream customers.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of relevant outside sales experience selling and working with builders, contractors, lumber yards, etc.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Computer Skills Applies skill in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM input, and sales tracking software as appropriate. Use of computer to enter data, create reports, correspondence, presentations, etc.

Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
