What will you do?

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of assigned area by planning, executing and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget. In addition, you will also directly manage employees on project and non-project-related activities.

Essential Job Functions:

• Direct and manage projects from beginning to end
  • Develop project plans and communicate with customer, team members, vendors, etc.
  • Obtain and manage the appropriate and necessary resources to accomplish objectives according to project plan
  • Ensure project is delivered on time, on budget, and achieves desired goals
  • Keep stakeholders informed; develop and deliver progress reports, required documentation and presentations
  • Effectively delegate project tasks
• Provide technical leadership on projects
  • Determine technical development and direction
  • Provide high end technical oversight
  • Performs engineering tasks when appropriate as required to support engineering projects
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships in order to contribute to the future success of the company
  • Identifies customer needs and responds to them in a timely manner
  • Looks for ways to continuously increase customer satisfaction
  • Suggests project and service enhancements
  • Actively seeks opportunities to grow Quartus business
  • Attends industry tradeshows and/or conferences
• Actively manage staff
  • Participates in the recruitment of new team members
  • Motivates and encourages staff while challenging them to grow
  • Measures performance and constructively coaches
  • Aligns people and work with business strategy
• Perform high level administrative functions such as reviewing writing and reviewing proposals, preparing invoices, approving expenses, and reviewing timecards
• Contributes to the overall success and quality of Quartus services

What are we looking for?

• Must be US Person
• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar Engineering field
• 10+ years of industry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Must be able to effectively manage and delegate engineering tasks
• Proven ability to develop and manage personnel
• Demonstrated ability to work in and lead a team
• Willingness to learn new skills, software packages and general engineering knowledge
• Strong knowledge of CAD or CAE tools
• Must be able to understand and complete projects of an increasingly significant size autonomously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable making presentations in front of customers or audiences
• Experience developing business proposals
• Must possess the ability to explain and defend decisions, and to respond quickly within a dynamic program environment

Compensation and Benefits:

Engineering Manager pay range: $128,755.00 - $210,383.99*

• This pay range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
