Job description
Engineering Assistant:
Engineering -
- Create schedule for engineering and detailing task on weekly basis
- Preparing submittals for engineering and detailing.
- Coordinate with detailing to answer their concern about standards and technical questions.
- Prepare and track all submittals and schedules.
Project Administration-
- Handle project administration, including schedule control and change order administration
- Document all management and control document processes (RFI’s, SI’s, shop drawings, commitments, change orders) Manage and respond to all RFI’s during the tender period
- Attend all trade and consultant meetings taking detailed meeting minutes
Fabrication and Installation Coordination-
- Import and update Tekla power fab files.
- Setup standards for engineering and detailing that will help for shop and field team.
- Material nesting, take off and miscellaneous steel detailing.
Project Coordination-
- Communicate with design team and trades regarding site issues and gathering necessary information required for decision making
- Conduct training on shop and field issues and train responsible teams.
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to manager
Job Requirements-
Must-have:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in construction management, building science, civil engineering, architectural technology or related field
- 3-5 years of direct project management experience, with construction management experience preferred;
Nice-to-have:
- CAPM or PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Previous supervisory experience
- AutoCAD and MS office program exposure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
