- High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous employment in a school setting preferred
- Must be able to handle a variety of tasks, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, possess excellent grammar/writing skills, demonstrate flexibility, highly organized, present a cordial/professional appearance and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Technology/computer experience required – Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
- Must be willing to cross train as a backup to any other central office position
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Executive/professional secretarial experience preferred
- Receptionist for the school office to include answering and directing incoming calls
- Clerical duties for the office
- Management of building hourly schedules for staff
- Prepares for meetings and follow-up documentation and correspondence as needed
- Processes all incoming and outgoing office mail
- Schedules assemblies and in building events
- Acts as district contact for school organizations
- Building Attendance
- Coordinates the editing, printing and distribution of the school newsletters and all other school correspondence
- Represents the district
- Cross trains with the business office including budget; ordering supplies, accounts payable, deposits, and MUNIS
