Electro Optical Inspector
(Contingent Upon Contract Award)

About the Position
The Electro Optical Inspector assists in the identification, physical inventory, accountability, and preparations for shipment of optical equipment applying basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test to ensure electro optical equipment is operational.
• Perform visual, dimensional and functional quality inspections; quality assurance audits; and prepare inspection reports on a variety of electro optical equipment.
• Perform stenciling, tagging and labeling of equipment.
• Inspect for in-transit damage, quantity, documentation, completeness, and modifications.
• Examine packaging, preservation, marking and other requirements as specified in the appropriate contract purchase order, or delivery order and military specifications.
• Perform spot inspections and provide technical assistance on assets in stock at the request of storage manager's inventory personnel and material managers.
• Perform monthly inspections on electro optical equipment in storage requirements.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in business (preferred) or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years of related experience.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills required.
• Training in electronics and/or optics.
• Prior experience in electro optical inspection.
