Job description

We are looking for an experienced electrician middle to senior level for our Rockdale, TX site. This is not a traveling contract as we want a more permanent commitment on site.

Maintenance work may include fixing or replacing parts, sensors, light fixtures, control systems, motors, and other types of electrical equipment. Controls Technicians read blueprints, which include technical diagrams of electrical systems that show the location of circuits, outlets, and other equipment. While troubleshooting, Controls Technicians also may use ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers to find problems and ensure that components are working properly. Many Control Technicians work alone, but sometimes they collaborate with others. Control Technicians are more likely to work as part of a crew.

Shifts are Monday thru Friday/8 hours per day/8am-5pm

Our Controls Technicians/Electricians typically do the following:

* Comfortable using computers and ability to learn diagnostic software applications

* Experience with flow, pressure, level, and temperature sensors and metering

* Ability to work on elevated surfaces

* Responsible for installing and troubleshooting control systems, lighting, motors controls, PLC systems and other related electrical components in an industrial setting as needed.

* Install and maintain wiring, repair electrical power, communications, breaker panels, motor control systems, and lighting systems

* Climb ladders and/or scaffolding

* Distinguish colors

* Prepare, maintain records, reports, or files

* Move or lift heavy objects

* Adhere to safety procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
