Job description

A Electrician Apprentice will work under the guidance of a Foreman in installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on any type project. A Journeyman may be required to perform any of the duties and responsibilities associated with classifications of an E-5 and below. Applicants must be willing to travel. Travel expenses and lodging paid for by employer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lays out work and preps materials for installation.
• Performs underground layout and rough-in.
• Determines wire and conduit sizing.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders.
• Installs BUSS feeders.
• Performs switchgear installation and terminations.
• Installs and connects power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
• Operates any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
• Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.
• Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.

Position Requirements:

• Hold a current Journeyman’s (TDLR) License
• Understands production & material management
• Are skilled in the tools and installation methods used in commercial construction
• OSHA30
• Understand the importance of JHA’s
• Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills
• understand basic electrical theory and its application to installations
• able to work occasional overtime if required
• Have reliable transportation

Education Requirements:

• High School Graduate, GED or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
