Role: Instrumentation Technician
Location: Abbott Park, IL – 60064-3500
Duration: 1 Year on W2
Shift Timings: 8 AM to 5 PM

Job Description:

• Calibrates, adjusts, repairs, maintains plant/utilities instrumentation.
• Must have a high school education with a minimum of 7+ years’ experience, or a two-year degree or certificate in electronics technology or equivalent.
• 7+ years’ experience in instrument technologies or a four-year electronics/physics or technologist degree.
• Comparable military service training may be acceptable.
• Product is the Alinity S platform: Alinity S Series is a blood and plasma screening instrument
• Main position responsibility is troubleshooting error codes and the root cause of issues
• R&D type of environment; will work with Scientists and Engineers
• Will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance
• Experience that will be a good fit: Experience with hybrid, complex systems; Field service expereince; circuit board level; ability to troubleshoot, service and repair equipment
• Fluidics, Robotics and Electrical experience; Immunoassay is a plus
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience on resume that would be of interest: 1) Medical device experience; 2) Servicing medical devices; 3) Field service experience, especially medical devices; 3) Electronics background; 4) Biochemistry degree (not required) 5) Maintenance on blood analyzers, hospital equipment, robotics

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
