About the Position

Our client is seeking an EHS Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician who will report to the Air Manager and split time between their Northern Louisiana and Eastern Texas locations.

This exciting opportunity will require the selected candidate to provide EHS support to assigned assets, corporate programs, and projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a strong bias for action and field presence to manage projects, perform field visits and inspections, and provide guidance and assistance to field operations.

As an LDAR Technician, this role will require creative problem-solving skills to produce significant results, compliant LDAR protocols and strategies, and execute protocols and strategies. Experience in oil and gas and the operation of Gas Infrared Cameras is required.

The position entails working in adverse weather conditions in the field and requires physical capabilities such as climbing ladders, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the operation of Gas Infrared Cameras
  • Certified in use of Gas Infrared Cameras, or able to quickly obtain certification upon hire
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Previous experience working in oil and gas preferred
  • LDAR / Fugitive Emission Monitoring, OpGal or FLIR Camera, (Method 21) with TVA 1000B and calibration experience a plus
  • Experience with RMLD devices for leak detection is a plus
  • Must have a valid Driver's License

Requirements

  • Experience in the operation of Gas Infrared Cameras
  • Certified in use of Gas Infrared Cameras, or able to quickly obtain certification upon hire
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Previous experience working in oil and gas
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Ability to perform work in adverse weather conditions in the field (Work in hot/cold environments, inclement weather)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Will be required to work at varying heights
  • Ability to climb ladders 10 ft.+, ascending/descending stairs up to ten flights or more in a day
  • Ability to bend, stretch, walk and climb with up to 30 lbs+ - up to 10 hours a day on concrete/steel /gravel surfaces
  • Ability to wear a full-body harness and fall arrest system in addition to up to 30 lb.+ backpack containing monitoring equipment
