The Editorial team is looking for a Dance & Electronic Development Editor to support the North American Editorial team in the US.

What You'll Do

  • Curate and maintain a large number of playlists for different subgenres across the North America dance & electronic space
  • Listen to music from a wide range of genres and identify trends
  • Use cultural expertise to build new programming efforts and engage users through compelling content
  • Analyze analytics of playlist ecosystem to ensure we reach editorial objectives
  • Present and report on strategic and creative projects in North America
  • Collaborate with our global teams on dance & electronic programming initiatives
  • Utilize editorial voice to support our new product tests to create a first-class user experience

Who You Are

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in music programming/curation, or in an audience-focused role, is required.
  • Strong understanding of the mainstream North American dance & electronic audience.
  • Experience crafting and developing editorial and programming strategy.
  • Passionate about current and past music trends in the US.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and productively respond to analytics.
  • A strong understanding of, and experience with, Spotify as a user and fan.
  • Ability to travel when needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

The United States base range for this position is $63,855 - $91,221 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
