About us

Zion Buds of Promise Christian Academy is a small business in Harvey/South Holland, IL. We are a Christian day care/earling learning/elementary school that offers preschool, kindergarten, elementary, before/after school, and summer programs. Our building is modern (9 years old). Food is provided.

We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and friendly DCFS qualified Early Childhood Teacher with a background in teaching, who loves working with children and families. In this position you will join our team of educators and support staff who create engaging activities for young children. Your core responsibilities will include teaching children important early-learning skills, helping them to develop socially and emotionally, and managing a classroom of children.

Required Qualifications:

a) be at least 19 years of age, b) have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED), c) have an associate degree with major in child development or early childhood education;

or

have sixty semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six;

or

have one year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six;

or

have completed a credentialing program approved by the Department of Children and Family Services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe environment for children.
• Ensure children follow school policies and procedures.
• Teach children according to the provided curriculum.
• Teach social skills such as sharing and taking turns.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
