Pathway Living Center, Inc. is a psychiatric rehabilitation agency that has been active in Clinton County for over 40 years. Our home-based habilitation services are designed to empower individuals with diagnosed mental illnesses to live healthy and fulfilling lives. We provide a wide variety of services that promote skill development for improving mental health, physical health, financial stability, building natural support systems, and all areas of daily living.

We are looking to expand services related to daily medication monitoring, social and recreational activities, and housekeeping. New positions available in our Dewitt location and surrounding rural areas.
Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals meet with consumers in their homes and in the community to support their daily needs. Pathway staff use a “do-with” model of support, working side-by-side with consumers as they develop skills needed to live independently. DSP work closely with our care teams to ensure that each consumer is receiving high-quality care that aligns with their personal goals. Experience in human services, social work, or education preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Teach and assist with daily living skills including: monitoring medication, prompting daily hygiene practices, apartment maintenance, and cooking.
· Teach and model appropriate social skills during various community-based activities (group outings, grocery shopping, medical appointments, etc.)
· Provide guidance for healthy decision-making, problem-solving, and coping skills.
· Advocating for consumer needs and assist in establishing peer supports and community connections.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Effective communication skills
· Ability to reason, problem solve and make quality professional decisions.
· Basic computer skills (preferred)
· Valid driver’s license (preferred)
· CPR certification (preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
