Summary:

The Document Controller is responsible for organizing and managing electronic and digital files in Documentum 2, managing documents that are housed within various asset teams and ensuring all documents are loaded, catalogued and accessible within a repository. Position to be based in Houston, Texas, in 77002 vicinity.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for all incoming files, maintaining the catalog and storage of all documentation, within Documentum 2, including electronic and digital files that reside within asset teams and/or the organization, ensuring all documents are loaded, catalogued and accessible within a repository
  • Responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of project document control procedures and plans
  • Position provides a focal point for document control activities; trains employees and subcontractors of system protocols and procedures for document storage so that access to all documentation can be accessed and stored easily and effectively

  • Understanding of Importance of environmental and Safe Work Practices

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk to inter-departmental facilities
  • Walking, bending, stooping is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of document control experience in data or document management
  • Demonstrated experience in Document Controls software such as Documentum 1 and/or 2, E-Bently required
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Sharepoint , Infopath and PowerApp strongly highly preferred
  • Candidate must reside in Midland or Houston, Texas
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel a must
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills required
  • Experience and strong knowledge in the Oil & Gas Industry including hydrocarbon exploration and production, refining, marketing and transport, chemical manufacturing and power generation highly desired
  • Knowledge of Drafting and reading P&ID schematics a plus
  • Knowledge and working experience using SAP/SAP Hana preferred
  • Must meet all conditional job offer requirements including the following: background, drug, MVR, agility
  • Position will be based in 77002 vicnity
